Types of Donations Accepted at Worthwhile Mercantile

  • Non-Perishable Food  - Canned foods, boxed meals, bottles of sauces, spices, etc. Nothing that requires a fridge/freezer or will go bad within a few days.

  • Clothing & Shoes - All sizes and types. Nothing that requires deep cleaning or repair

  • Accessories - Hats, sunglasses, bags

  • Bedding & Blankets - Not stained or torn

  • Towels - Bath & kitchen, all sizes

  • Toilet Paper & Paper Towels

  • Toiletries & Personal Care - Must be labelled, cannot be homemade.

  • Pet Food & Supplies - Opened bags of dry food ok, must be labelled as dog or cat food.

  • Cleaning Supplies - Slightly used is ok. Substances must be labelled.

  • Bags - Reusable, plastic, paper, sandwich, quart, freezer, snack, and trash.

  • Bottled Water - For customers & volunteers

  • Shop Supplies:  Storage bins, racks, Mason Jars with lids, clothes hangers


WE CANNOT ACCEPT (Yet):

  • Toys & Stuffed Animals

  • Cribs or Car Seats

  • Sports Equipment

  • Furniture

  • Home Decor

  • Kitchenware and Appliances

  • Stained/Torn Items

  • Anything left outside the shop overnight


Donations can be brought to the Mercantile (102 Home St) on Mondays 3-6 and Saturdays 10-1.
